CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, April 20, 2004 – Jerry T. Kendall, President and Chief Operating Officer of Technology Research Corporation (TRC), (NASDAQ-TRCI), announced that it had received an order for approximately $1.0 million to supply its Fire Shield LCDI Cord Sets for use by a major appliance manufacturer as power cords on room air conditioners.  Deliveries are expected to be completed within 12 months. 

Kendall said, ”It’s exciting to receive our first significant order for cord fire protection on room air conditioners.  Consumer safety is important and TRC is pleased it can supply products that meet the UL requirements for this important application.”

Technology Research Corporation designs, manufactures and markets electrical safety products that save lives, protect people from serious injury from electrical shock and prevent electrical fires in the home and workplace.  These products have worldwide application.  The Company also supplies power monitoring and control equipment to the United States Military and its prime contractors.
