TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH CORPORATION EXPANDS PRODUCT OFFERING TO THE HOME DEPOT®

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, December 3, 2003 -- Ned Schiff, Vice President of U.S. Marketing and Sales for Technology Research Corporation (TRC), (NASDAQ:TRCI), announced today that it has commenced supplying The Home Depot with its Fire Shield® Surge Strips and expanding distribution of its portable GFCI Shock Shield® Tri-Cords.      

Ned Schiff said, “We are excited about the opportunity to make these TRC safety products available through all the U.S. Home Depot stores.”  He added, “We expect the initial stocking orders and delivery of these products to be completed in the first quarter of 2004.” 

The Fire Shield Surge Strips are unique in that they are the only power strips with built-in intelligence to prevent cord fires, ground faults and also protect sensitive electronic equipment from overloads, power surges and power spikes.   Every six seconds, there is a cord related fire in the United States.  The Fire Shield technology detects damage or insulation breakdown to the cord and shuts off power before a fire can start.    

The portable GFCI Shock Shield Tri-Cords, which have been available in the Home Depot western region stores, will now be available for all U. S. Home Depot stores.  They have application in the construction industry and around the home for use with power tools, by the pool, with lawn equipment and other places where electricity could come in contact with water.  The Shock Shield Tri-Cord protects individuals from serious injury from electrical shock or electrocution.
